Who we are

This site is published by the Navarro College Small Business Development Center (Navarro SBDC), hosted by the Navarro College District and funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Our address is Navarro SBDC, 3205 West 2nd Ave, Corsicana, TX 75110.

What this site collects

This is a static website. It has no user accounts, no comments, and no shopping cart. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not build a profile of you.

When you send us a form

If you fill in one of our inquiry forms, we receive what you type — your name, email address, phone number and a description of your business — so that an advisor can reply. We use it to answer you and to run our advising service. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside the SBDC except where SBA program reporting requires it, in which case it is reported in aggregate.

The advising intake form asks about your finances. On Start here, where you ask us for a business report, we also ask which county you are in, what kind of business you have or want, how much funding you think you need, what you have available in savings, whether you have collateral, and roughly where your credit score falls. We ask because an advisor cannot point you at the right funding without knowing roughly where you stand, and because the SBA requires us to report on who we help.

Your credit score is answered as a broad range, never as a number. We do not run a credit check, we do not contact a credit reference agency, and nothing you tell us here reaches your credit file or affects it. The questions about your own finances — your savings, your collateral, your credit score and how you plan to finance the business — are all optional. Leave any of them blank and we will still read your inquiry and reply.

Forms are processed on our behalf by a hosted form service, which stores the submission so our team can see it, and by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the sender is a person rather than a bot. Turnstile sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.

Analytics

This site currently runs no analytics and sets no cookies of its own. If that changes, this page will change with it, and anything that requires your consent will ask for it first.

Links to other sites

Our research and resources pages link out to government agencies, lenders and other organizations. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over what they collect. Following a link from here means their rules apply, not ours.

How long we keep things

A form submission is held by the form service for 180 days and then deleted automatically. Where an inquiry becomes an advising relationship, the client record we keep is retained for as long as we are advising you, and afterwards for the period required by SBA program reporting. You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, except where we are obliged to keep it.
